Amalia Achziger, a daughter of Friedrich Adler and his wife Anlise Thiel, was born on 24 September 1888 at Kolb, Russia. In this place, as a child, she also received Holy Baptism and was confirmed at the age of 15 years. She came to this country with her parents in 1904 and traveled to Hastings, Nebr. In 1906 she married Heinrich Achziger of Lincoln, Nebr. Since 1920 the family made their home in Loveland, Colo., and since 1943 at Greeley, Colo. Here is where she had a long illness, and on 30 August 1956 God took her to her rest. Through God's grace she made her pilgrimage of 68 years, less 25 days. She leaves behind her husband Heinrich Achziger, 3 daughters and 2 sons: Mrs. Elsie Cook and Herman, both of Greeley, Mrs. Rachel Salvi at Denver, Mrs. Stella Jesser at Erie, Colo., and Clarence at Tacoma, Wash.; 2 sisters and 2 brothers: Mrs. Mabel Rutt at Hastings, Nebr., Mrs. Lydia Webb of Berkland [Berkley], Ore., Friedrich Adler at Denver, and Joseph Adler at Reno, Nevada, and also other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Achziger was a member of the First Congregational Church of Loveland.
