Emil L. Accomasso, 79, of Greeley, CO died Saturday, January 17, 1987 at Kenton Manor in Greeley.
He was born January 24, 1907 to Paul and Eugenia (Aimone) Accomasso in Torino, Italy. On August 4, 1951 he married Clara Pohlman in Greeley.
Mr. Accomasso came to the United States with his family at the age of 5, settling in Sterling, CO. the family later moved to a farm near Atwood, CO. He graduated from Logan County High School in 1924 and from Barnes business College, Denver, CO in 1926. From 1936 until 1943 he worked for the United States Department of Agriculture. He entered the U.S. Army in May 1943 serving until October 1945. After his discharge, he returned to the USDA where he worked until 1947. He managed the Kersey Elevator from 1960 until 1961. In 1963 he went to work for Ehrlich Feedlot, Inc. in Milliken, CO where he worked until his retirement in December 1986 because of ill health.
He was a member and past president of the Lions Club at Kersey, CO, and a member of the Kersey bowling team. He attended the First Christian Church in Greeley.
Survivors are his wife, Clara of Greeley; two sisters, Eve Accomasso of Atwood and Mrs. Frank (Lillian) Chidester of Chula Vista, CA; three brothers, Reb, Pert, and Edward, all of Atwood; a niece; and a nephew.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Adamson Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
