Margaret E. Adams, 74, of Greeley, Co died Saturday, June 13, 1987 at North Colorado Medical Center.

She was born January 24, 1913 in Walsenburg, Co to Wallace C. and Mary (Vest) Hunt.

Mrs. Adams attended schools in Walsenburg. In 1933 the family moved to Fort Collins where she graduated from Colorado State University in 1939 with a bachelor's degree in science. She was a member of Omnicron NU and Alpha Tau Alpha Honorary. Upon graduation, she taught school in Glenwood Springs, CO until June 1940.

On June 7, 1940 she married Melvin Adams in Fort Collins. They lived in Wiggins, CO until 1941 when he entered the Army. While he was in the service, she lived in Fort Collins. The couple moved to Greeley in 1949. She was primarily a wife and mother, and was a volunteer in the community, working for the Cub Scouts, typing for the handicapped at the Lab School and serving as co-chairwoman for the residential March of Dimes in 1950, where she organized the south side of 16th street. She served several years as a Gray Lady and was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors are her husband, Melvin of Greeley; three sons, Gary Adams of San Diego, CA, Rex Adams of Grand Junction, CO, Terry Adams of Augusta, GA; and one sister, Helen Kelley of Sun City, AZ.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 1987 at Adamson Memorial Chapel. Private family inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
