Clorinda Aragon, 101, passed away on May 3, 2012 in Fowler. She was born to Pacomio and Abelina Romero in Encinosa, New Mexico on May 27, 1910, (she was 24 days shy of turning 102 years old). She attended school thru the eighth grade and at the age of 17 she married Benancio Aragon on December 19, 1927 in Wagon Mound, New Mexico. She moved from New Mexico in 1952 to Manzanola, Colorado. She was a housewife and a dedicated mother, and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family and her sisters. She was a God-fearing, strong Christian woman. She loved to cook a meal for all who came to visit her. She would visit with the sick and comfort them with Jesus. She loved spending time in her yard and garden. She was a member of St. Joseph (the worker) Church in Manzanola. She loved watching Christian television shows, and reading the Bible. She is preceded in death by her parents, ten brothers and sisters, and one son. She is survived by her brothers: Christian (Flamina) Romero from Albuquerque, NM ; Eugeno (Manuelita) Romero from Gainsville, TX, her sons: Felimon Aragon; Esequiel (Maria) Aragon; Max (Linda) Aragon all from Manzanola, CO. Also her daughters: Brenda Berumen and companion Carlos Gonzales from Fowler; Irene (Phil) Marquez from Pueblo; and Pauline (Julian) from Gig Harbor, WA. She had 20 grandchildren, 46 great grand children, 27 great, great grandchildren, and three great, great, great grandchildren. She had 100 decedents in her family. Visitation will be at Eaton Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rocky Ford on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Manzanola Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Jesus. Eaton Family Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
