Reinhardt F. Adler was born in Berthoud, Colorado. He was the son of Johann Georg Adler and Anna Maria Bauer, immigrants from Kolb, Russia. Reinhardt married Kathryn Schleiger 8 December 1928 in Weld County, Colorad. Four children were born to this marriage: Walter A., Reinhardt F. Jr., Mildred H., and Ethel M. Adler.
