Elba Adkins, formerly of this office but now of Wayne, has the sympathy of his many Hinton friends in the loss of his mother and sister from the flu epidemic. His sister, at the young age of 18, died on Wednesday, the 13th, and his mother passed away the next day. Mr Adkins had another sister to die while he was a resident of Hinton.
