Mr. Jesse Raymond Boler, age 74, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Wednesday,January 15th in the Christus St. Michael Health System, Texarkana, Texas.

He was born to Luther and Carrie Goodrum Boler at Nashville, Arkansas, on August 20, 1939. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the U. S. Air Force, retiring in 1979. After his retirement from the military, he worked for Day & Zimmerman at Hooks, Texas, the Sevier County Farmers Co-op, and Weyerhaueser. Mr. Boler was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed deer hunting, and vegetable gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Dale Boler, Lewis Boler, Leon "Punk" Boler, Lonard "Buck" Boler, Charles Boler, and Louise "Pat" Isley, and a son-in-law, Paul McCullough.

Jesse is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Linda Birge Boler of De Queen, two daughters and a son-in-law, Regina McCullough of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Renee and Clint Cook of De Queen, three grandsons, Shelby Cook of De Queen, Zachary McCullough and Tyler McCullough both of Fairbanks, Alaska, a granddaughter, Sydney Cook of De Queen, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services with military rites will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 18th in the Valley Cemetery, Gillham with Micah Martin officiating, under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen. The family will receive friends at Chandler Funeral Home on Friday, January 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
