Littleton Baker one of our oldest and most respected citizens died the 24th inst. at his residence in Wiley's Cove at the age of 81 years one month and 10 days.

The subject of this sketch was born in Guinett Co. GA, May 14, 1811. He joined the Primitive Baptist Church in the year 1850, he came to AR in 1853 and settled at Big Flat in what is now Baxter county. He was one of the commissioners who located the town of Burrowsville (now Marshall) in 1956. He was the father of eighteen children, fifteen of whom are still living. He was married four times, his fourth wife survives him. He ever lived a consistent Christian and died in full hope of a Blessed Immortality.
