On April 15, 2015, Herbert Clifford Brigance died at McAlester Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Herbert was born June 5, 1941 at Waldron, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert J. Brigance and mother Charlene Brigance, his paternal grandparents were James Henry Brigance, wife, Ester Taylor of Keota, and maternal grandparents were Worth Samuel Rice and Med Jones of Waldron, Arkansas. He was preceded in death also by a grandson, Chance Sandman and brother-in-law, Danny Watson.
Herbert is survived by his daughter, Dana Sandman, husband Kelly and grandson, Jordan Hearod. Also by daughter, Kristy Maddux, husband, David and children, Cole Maddux and Shelby Anne Kiesewelter. He also has two step sons, Vincent Denny and Johnny Denny and wife, Tina and 2 grandchildren, Jodie Denny and Johnathan Denny and 3 Great great grandchildren.
Herbert’s siblings are Linda Hugo and husband, John of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother Randy Brigance and wife, Brenda of Panola and sister, Janice Watson of Wilburton, Oklahoma. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and the many children that he taught as an elementary teacher.
The funeral service will be held at Pioneer Freewill Baptist Church at Brooken 10 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015. Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. at Square Rock Cemetery in Waldron, Arkansas.
