Margie Lou Bagwell, 82 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013. Memorial services will be held at 11 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor of the church, officiating. A private family graveside will take place at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be Friday, from 10 o'clock in the morning until 8 o'clock in the evening at the funeral home. Services are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Margie was born August 14, 1930 in Phillips TX to Burl and Debbie (Noble) Shrum. She married Jack Madison Bagwell on September 9, 1948 in Levelland. They had been happily married for 64 years. Margie was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and tole painting. She had owned Markae Dress shop for several years. Margie gave her heart to Jesus as a very young lady and had been a member of the First Baptist Church for 64 years.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a grandson, Brady Giles.
She is survived by her husband Jack Bagwell of the home, two daughters; Cheryl Smith and husband David, and Debbie Carson and husband Paul, all of Amarillo; three granddaughters, Sha Leigh Clark of Indiana, Kristi Murphey and Sydney Carson, both of Amarillo, two grandsons; Corey McCutchan of Houston and Dallas McCutchan of San Antonio, and her special dog Sadee.
The family would like to recognize all the angels that work at Moore County Hospital, Memorial Nursing and Rehab, and Memorial Hospice for the exceptional care they provided to their wife and mother.
