Cecil "Lloyd" Adams age 87, of Jacksonville went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 28, 2011. He was born October 14, 1923 in Neosho, Missouri to the late Claude and Cenah Adams. He was preceded in death by one son John Adams, and two brothers Glenn and Earl Adams.

Lloyd served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946 serving in the European and Pacific Areas. He entered the United States Air Force in 1948 and retired in 1971 as a Chief Master Sergeant. After his military career he worked for the Arkansas Department of Health as an accountant and as administrator of the Tuberculosis Program. Lloyd and Faye have been active member of the United Methodist Church since January 1957. He served as chairman of the trustees, building maintenance, and grounds chairman.

He is survived by his loving wife Faye, of 64 years, two sons, Frank Adams of Connce, Tennessee, Joseph Adams and his wife Debbie of Van Buren, four grandchildren; Taylor, Michael, Alexandra, and Lori; one sister Marie Wallace of Joplin, Missouri, and one brother Elmer Adams of Anchorage, Alaska.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville with Reverend Mark McDonald and Reverend Charles Watt officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136.
