Elisha Wakefield Gordon Akin aka E. W. G. Akin was the 7th child of 8 children and 4th son of 4 sons born to Martin G. Akin b.19 Apr 1816 in Cumberland Co., KY & d.25 Feb 1894 in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY -and to- Elizabeth Rebecca Norris b.10 May 1816 in Cumberland Co., KY & d.13 Oct 1893 in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY and who were married abt 1840 in Cumberland Co., KY.
Elisha died sometime after 1920. I have been unable to find the exact date, for some reason. Also, I might mention his first name. It was reported by his father on the 1860 Census as Elisha and by Elisha, himself, on the 1920 Census. I have noticed that some family members thought it was Elijah, but that appears to be definitely incorrect.
Elisha was married twice in his life and 4 children by each spouse.
