JUNCTION CITY - A celebration of life will be held April 18 for R. Clarence Allen Jr. of Junction City, who died April 12 of age-related causes. He was 84.
Allen was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Junction City, to Roscoe and Floy Allen Sr.
He served in the Navy during World War II. He had worked as owner-operator of a Mayflower Moving van. His family said he loved riding bicycles. He belonged to Franklin Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Vicky Hernandez, Nancy Allen and Ruth Vogel; a son, David; and several grandchildren and great-grand-children. A daughter, Carol Roper, died previously.
Monday's service will be held at 5 p.m. at Franklin Christian Church. Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Children's Home in care of Franklin Christian Church.
