Raymond C. Arnold Sr., 60, of Mayflower died Monday (Nov. 3, 1997) at Conway Regional Medical Center.

Born July 27, 1937, in Safford, Ariz., a son of Claude and Mary Bailey Harris Arnold, he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Monty Arnold of Doyle, Calif., and a sister, Gladys Chilton of Sparks, Nev.

Survivors include his wife, Violetta Cook Arnold of Mayflower; a son, Raymond C. Arnold Jr. of Mayflower; two daughters, Vernadean Brazear and Maryetta Arnold, both of Conway; a brother, Melvin L. Arnold of Napa, Idaho; two sisters, Laverna Bryant and Beth Teague, both of Globe, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeff Stokes officiating. Burial will be in Mayflower Cemetery by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Johnson, Mike Long, Gene Long, Howard Wheeler, Harold Stephens and Dennis Cook.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
