Four year old, Dyrk Rylan Burcie, received his superhero angel wings on the morning of September 24, 2012, while held in the arms of his parents at home, surrounded by the comfort of his brothers. Dyrk fought a courageous battle against cancer which robbed his body, but never his spirit! Dyrk was diagnosed with stage 4 hepatoblastoma (liver cancer) at the age of 3. He did not leave this world without a fight! He fought his cancer as a brave warrior, but when he was ready for his angel wings, he received them peacefully. Dyrk was born November 29, 2007 to Dameon and Shelley Burcie in Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his Popo-David Hartensteiner and Papa-Frank Burcie, Jr. Dyrk is deeply loved by his family, adored by a community, and he inspired the world! We will forever be DYRKSTRONG from the privilege of knowing him!
