Marian Campbell, 74, was born October 10, 1935 in Decatur, Illinois.She departed this life on April 22, 2010, at her home in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Sophia (Thomas) Root. She was a resident of Jordan, Arkansas since 1980 and was the Vice President of the Jordan-Rodney Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

She enjoyed her solitude, gardening, fishing and card playing. She is survived by her brother: Bud Root and wife Janet of Jordan; three sisters: Shirley and Richard Boyd of Steubenville, Ohio; Priscilla and Arthur Schmidt of Stonington, Illinois; and Julia Coventry of Decatur, Illinois; three children: Cheryl Campbell of Mountain Home, Marshall Cambell and wife, Cindy of Mountain Home and Doug Campbell and wife, Sandee of Gassville and two grandchildren: Mason and Kirsten Campbell of Calico Rock.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Graveside service will be Monday, April 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Hand Cemetery in Jordan, Arkansas, under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Jordan-Rodney Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary or Perry's Orphan's Sanctuary, Inc. (Animal Shelter).
