Mr. Danny Lyle Ackley Sr., age 66, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 20, 2010 in Crockett. Mr. Ackley was born August 8, 1944 in Crockett, Texas. He was a truck driver in the transportation industry and also worked as a plumber. Mr. Ackley was a member of the Good Sheppard Fellowship Church of Crockett.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Zenith Ann Ackley; children Gerald Wayne Allbritton, Lisa Dumas and husband Randy, Danny Ackley, Jr. and wife Sheryl, Cheryl Harris and husband Jimmy, Marc Ackley and wife Christina; 16 Grandchildren Chandra, Gerald, Casey, Amber, Shawnna, David, Johnny, Wesley, Destanie and husband Jeffery, Kody, Savannah, Marisa, Brianna, Raven, Christian and Cameron; 10 great-grandchildren Kylie, Felicity, Aden, Olivia, Samuel, Blake, Hayden, Mason, Brooke, Gabriel; brother Paul "Sonny" Ackley and wife Laura; sister Sue Hardee and husband Joe; brother and sister-in-laws Jimmy Dann, Frances and James Lee, Billie Gillen, James Christian, Joel and Robin Christian, Millie and Ronnie Cloer, Johnnie and Wayne Cartwright, Charlie "GeNell" Langston and Rosie Landrum; numerous other relatives and good friends also survive.
