JAMES T. BACHMAN, 71, OF POTTSTOWN
James T. Bachman, 71, of Pottstown, most recently a resident at Gino Merli Veterans Medical Center, Scranton, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012 in Regional Hospital of Scranton former Mercy Hospital. He was born January 26, 1941 in Pittston, son of the late James F. and Hilda Hunter Bachman.
Jim was a graduate of Pittston High School A Vietnam Veteran, Jim spent his career in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. His service took him across the globe, traveling to every continent except Antarctica. He had the honor of serving in the 89th Airlift Wing stationed at Andrews Air Force Base assigned to Air Force One and Air Force Two during the Ford and Carter Administrations. A gregarious spirit, Bachman enjoyed his family, his children and his dogs. He was an accomplished cook and gardener. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Bachman, June 28, 2009, and half brothers, Martin Kearney, Charles Kearney and John Kearney Survivors include son, James N. Bachman; step-son, Kyle J. Romanowski and family; daughter, Robin J. Bachman; brother, George Bachman and wife, Nina; sister, Imelda I. Simonson; brother-in-law, Robert Jenkins; sister-in-law, Carole Lance; nieces, and a nephew. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 11 a.m. At the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston, Pa. 18643. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday Morning from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Interment Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
