Geneva Morse Cox On Saturday, October 6, 2012, God called home Deaconess Geneva Morse Cox to receive her rest. Geneva was born on January 24, 1929 in Arrington, VA, the second child of the late John and Camille Morse.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age and joined the White Rock Baptist Church in Arrington, VA prior to moving to Washington DC and uniting with the Pilgrim Baptist Church. There she served many years singing on the Sanctuary Choir and serving on the Deaconess Board. Geneva met her husband, Calvin, and married in 1953 in Croon, MD. In 1986, Geneva and Calvin relocated back to Virginia and re-united with the White Rock Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Senior Choir, a Deaconess and a willing worker for Christ in any capacity in her church and community. Geneva was preceded in death by two sons, Melvin and Russell Hudson; one grandson, George Hudson, Jr.; three brothers, Archie, Elwood and Clarence Morse and one sister, Ardelia Johnson. Geneva leaves to cherish her memories a beloved and devoted husband of 59 years, Calvin; her son, George Hudson; granddaughter, Alisa Sandidge; great grandson, Devonta Sandidge; one sister, Camille Miles (George); one brother, John Edward Morse (Henrietta) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. A celebration of Geneva's life will be conducted at 1 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at White Rock Baptist Church in Arrington, VA. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family is receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the Cox home. Family and friends will assemble at the church. Condolences may be emailed to Community Funeral Home directing
