The Three Springs native was a dedicated member of Highland United Methodist Church for many years. He was a farmhand until enlisting in the Army, making sergeant first class with honest and faithful service while fighting in the Korean War until 1953. He then was a professional furniture maker of reproduction cherry furniture. He was a son of the late Harry L. Adams and Ella Kessler Adams and the husband of the late Clara Baker Adams. He was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. Thursday at Winn Funeral Home, with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and begins at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include two sisters, Alta Rea Hensley and Virginia Baker, both of Campbellsville; a double nephew, Ken Baker; two great-nephews, Clint and Clay Baker; several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; four brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; a cousin, J.V. Lile and his wife, Roberta; and several loving friends.
