HAMPTON - Odette Marie Farmer Adkins was called home by her Lord and Savior on April 18, 2015. She was a member of the Ivey Farms Church of the Brethren, where she served on the Deacon Board and taught Sunday School. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chester; parents; sister; five brothers; and daughter-in-law. Surviving are her two sons, Steven L. Adkins and Gerald W. Adkins and his wife, Peggy; four grandchildren, Chris, Jenny, Katie, and Michael; nine great-grandchildren, Megan, Sarah, Haleigh, Grant, Owen, Tanner, Reid, Faith, and Caleb. The family will receive friends 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Tuesday, April 20, 2015 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 21 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Memorial Fund at Ivey Farms Church of the Brethren.
