Sarah Saferight Crockett, 68, of Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Wytheville, died Saturday, May 17, 2003
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, at 2 p.m. at Grubb Funeral Home Chapel in Wytheville. Interment will be in Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery.
She worked for several law firms in Woodstock, and Raleigh, N.C. In 1969, she went to work at the Governor Morehead School for the Blind and retired after 26 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ulysses Garland Saferight; her husband, Eldridge David "Buddy" Crockett; and a brother, Ulysses Garland Saferight, Jr.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law of N.C.; a son and daughter-in-law of N.C.; five grandchildren also survive.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grubb Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
