Raymond Lee Barton Jr., 63, devoted husband, father and grandfather went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 7, 2007. He was an engineering technician with GE for 22 ˝ years and currently employed at EG&G. He was a native of West Virginia and an avid supporter of the DAV. Raymond was predeceased by his mother, Frances Barton- Canter and his father, Raymond Lee Barton Sr., who was killed during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ann B. Barton; stepfather, William Canter; four children, Teresa Cousins, Anne Violette, Jason Barton and David Barton; 13 grandchildren, Paul Matteson Jr., Justin Cousins, Brooke Cousins, Zach Vasquez, Leslie V. Clarke, Ashley Vasquez, Stacie Vasquez, Anthony Barton, Calli Barton, Zoe Barton, Kerri Barton, Raymond L. Barton III and Noah Barton; sisters and brothers, Hank Canter, Nancy Brewster, Janet Kemp and Betty Beck; and his uncle, Vernon Hylton. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Rev. Gary Harley with burial in Mount Zion Church Cemetery, Eclipse. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and in lieu of flowers they suggest memorial contributions to the Disabled American Veterans.
