Marvin Hayes Albrite, 64, of 335 Hartman Drive, Harrisonburg died Friday evening at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. He had been ill 19 months.

Mr. Albrite was born Nov. 4,1919, in Broadway and was a son of the late John Lewis and Jennie Fitzwater Albrite.

He served with the Army during World War II. He had worked for Southern Bakery, Kerns Bakery and later Flowers Bakery until he became ill.

On Aug. 18, 1951, he married the former Lucille Wimer, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Steven John Albrite of Harrisonburg; five sisters, Bernice Dove of Broadway, Gertie Shearer of Hummelstown, Pa., and Mary Virginia Caricofe, Eunice Fitzwater and Beatrice Knopp, all of Harrisonburg; and three brothers, Harry A. Albrite of Hershey, Pa., Raymond D. Albrite of Arlington and Tom Albrite of Harrisonburg.

The funeral will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Otterbein United Methodist Church by the Revs. Louis E. Carson and Lee Stroud. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

The body is at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home, but the family will receive friends at the Albrite home.
The casket will be closed.
