Thomas J. Bagby, formerly a long-time resident of Petersburg, VA, died at the Prince Georges Hospital Center, Cheverly, Md. He was employed with the Department of Army in the Utilities Division, Fort Lee, VA, for over 39 years as a boiler engineer and later became a supervisor. He was also the vice president of the National Association of Government Employees Union. He served in World War II and received various honors and awards for his service. He was a dedicated member and served on the Deacon Board as a senior member for many years at the Trinity Baptist Church, Petersburg, VA (now Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of God and Christ)
A funeral service was held noon, both at the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of God and Christ, 233 Halifax St., Petersburg, VA
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the staff of the Tucker Funeral Home, 415 Halifax St., Petersburg, VA.
