Company I, 6th Virginia Cavalry, Payne's Brigade, Fitz. Lee's Division, Cavalry, Army of Northern Virginia, C.S.A.

Residence was not listed; an 18 year-old Laborer.
Enlisted on 4/1/1864, he was mustered into "I" Co. VA 6th Cavalry as a Private.
Absent, sick at home on 3/20/1865 final roll.

Postwar, living at Granite Springs, VA June 14, 1909, he applied for Confederate partial disability pension due to "general weakness and debility". He was approved 7/5/1909.

The 6th Cavalry Regiment completed its organization in November, 1861, at Manassas, Virginia. Men of this unit were raised in Loudoun, Rappahannock, Clarke, Rockingham, Pittsylvania, Fairfax, Halifax, Fauquier, and Orange counties.
