Elected Jr 2nd Lieut 3/18/1863.
Promoted to 2nd Lieut 7/2/1863.
Promoted to 1st Lieut 1864.
He was Killed In Action in the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House, VA.
The 20th Infantry Regiment was formed at Columbus, Georgia, in May, 1861, and soon moved to Virginia where it was assigned to the Potomac District. The men were from the counties of Muscogee, Jefferson, Cook, Harris, Wilkinson, Telfair, and Crawford.
