Company I "Piscola Volunteers" of Brooks County, 26th Georgia Infantry, Evans' Brigade, Gordon's Division, 2nd Corps, Army of Northern Virginia, C.S.A.

Residence Brooks County GA.; 25 year-old overseer.
Enlisted on 7/30/1861, he was mustered into "I" Co. GA 26th Infantry as a Private.
He was Killed In Action in the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House, VA.

The 26th Infantry Regiment [also called 13th Regiment] completed its organization in October, 1861, at Brunswick, Georgia. Its companies were recruited in the couties of Charlton, Berrien, Glynn, Twiggs, Clinch, Ware, Coffee, and Wayne.
