Mikki Charlene Abrams

Mikki Charlene Abrams, 59, of Richmond, Va., formerly of Eastlake, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008.

She was the daughter of Charles and Lena Baker. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles; and daughter, Melissa Young.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Warren Wakefield; mother, Lena Baker; two beloved granddaughters, Melissa and Lindsey Wakefield; brother and sister-in-law, David and Cynthia Baker; and many other loving family members and friends.

She will be remembered for her endless patience, kindness, and compassion.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Western Reserve Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

She was the daughter of Charles and Lena Baker. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles; and her daughter, Melissa Young. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Warren Wakefield; her mother, Lena Baker; two beloved granddaughters, Melissa and Lindsey Wakefield; brother and sister-in-law, David and Cynthia Baker. She is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.

Mikki was a longtime employee of MCV Hospital Child Care Center, where she touched the lives of many children. She was very proud to have recently earned her degree from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. She will be remembered for her endless patience, kindness, and compassion.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Bliley's -Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Swift Creek Presbyterian Church, where she was a member.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
