| Birth: | May 6, 1930 | | Death: | Sep. 14, 2010 Dublin Pulaski County Virginia, USA |  Mary Sutphin Akers, 80, of Radford, Va., passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at Beulah House in Dublin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Junior Akers; two brothers, Otha and Wendell Sutphin; and son-in-law, Kenneth Epperly.
Carl and Mary were owners and operators of Meadow Creek Campground.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Brenda and Danny Callahan, of Pulaski, and Judy Epperly, of Radford; son, Carl Wayne Akers, of Radford, brother and sister-in-law, Robert Marshall and Louise Sutphin, of Christiansburg; five grandchildren, Wendy Gilbert and husband, Roger, Shane Callahan, Jason Callahan, Regina Wallace and Samantha Akers; four greatgranddaughters; brother-inlaw and wife, Jim and Jean Akers; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Beth Sutherland, FNP, and the staff at Beulah House for their loving care.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2010, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Kenny Wurzburger officiating.
Interment will follow in the Big Sand Cemetery in Indian Valley. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Beulah House, P. O. Box 478, Dublin, Va. 24084.
