David gave his life to Christ at an early age and had been living for the Lord ever since. He preached his initial sermon on February 22, 2004. David was a member of Philippi Church of Christ in Greenville, NC. He was a faithful member of the Philippi Ministerial Association, Men's Ministries and Male Chorus. David was a people person, and never met a stranger. He enjoyed fellowshipping and being around his church and immediate family and was a fun and compassionate person to be around. He was a bold and vocal witness for the Lord. He ministered and encouraged many to trust and have faith in God.
Minister Aldridge had been an advocate for HIV Prevention and awareness in the community, as well as a HIV instructor for the American Red Cross. He also served as a volunteer for the Pitt County Aids Service Organization (PICASO). He was the former Executive Director of the Philadelphia House, which provided temporary housing for persons living with HIV.
