Native of Rutherford County, NC and husband of Doris Jones Hamrick Aldridge of the home. Son of the late Orville Taylor, Sr. and Lela Mattie Morrow Aldridge and a member of the Poplar Springs Baptist Church and a retired building contractor. Survivors included: two sons; one daughter; two brothers; four sisters; three step-sons; one step-daughter; four grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
