Judy Laverne Allen, 38, of 78 Old Church of God Road, Candler, died Thursday, October 28, 2004, at Hospice Solace Center.

A native of Orlando, FL, she was a daughter of the late Hollis Emerson and Gloria Joyce Morton Allen. She was a graduate of Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and was a teacher at Hominy Valley Elementary School. She was a member of Fellowship of the Vine Church.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Sewrey; a daughter, Megan Sewrey of the home; a sister, Valerie Janet Allen and her husband David Ziller of Black Mountain; three brothers, Hollis Emerson Allen, Jr. and his wife Starr Sebastian Allen of Candler, Michael Russell Allen and his wife Debra Ann Allen of Candler and Glenn Darrell Allen and Steve Garrett of Hayesville.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Monday at Acton United Methodist Church with Pastor David Banks officiating.
