Services for Lex Leon Board, 82, of Borger will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Glenneth Harrington, pastor, officiating.

Lex died on Thursday, March 17, 1988 in Golden Plains Community Hospital, Borger, Texas, after an illness.

A lifetime Hutchinson County resident, Lex was born on February 14, 1906 in Plemons, Texas. He was a retired machinery operator for Hansford County. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson County Poineers Association, Billy Dixon Masonic Lodge, Khiva Shrine Temple and Order of the Eastern Star.

He married Maye Womble on January 9, 1927 in Stinnett, Texas and moved to Morse, Texas. They moved to Borger, Texas in 1974. They had one son; Wayne Leon Board.

His wife, Maye Womble, died in 1983.

Survivors include one son, Wayne Leon Board, Lubbock, Texas; and one sister, Zela Matheson of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials to Opportunities Inc.

Burial will be in Lieb Cemetary under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.
