Lizzie Spoon Amick
Final rites for Mrs. Lizzie Spoon Amick, 84, of 2124 W. Front St., were conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington by the Rev. Gayle Alexander, pastor of Webb Avenue-Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial following in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Amick died in a Hillsborough rest home Saturday night at 8:45 o'clock after several years of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Margaret Stanley Spoon.
She is survived by one son, John Amick of Burlington; three sisters, Mrs. A. L. Isley and Mrs. C. E. Amick both of Burlington, and Mrs. N. B. Cheek of Pleasant Garden; one brother, Col. T. L. Spoon of Liberty; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
