Thomas Joseph Alvey, a well known man of the western part of the county, died at the home of his mother Mrs Irene Alvey, at Holy Cross early Sunday morning (12/30/1924). Death was due to tuberculosis. The funeral services conducted by Rev J P Hayden were held (Holy Cross) at 9am. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr Alvey was 36 years old. He had been married but his wife died several years ago. Besides his mother, he is survived by one son Bromo Alvey.
