"Edward J. Andreas, 90, of Palmerton R.3 died Wednesday in Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Caroline (Strohl) Andreas. They were married 69 years last month.
He was employed by the former New Jersey Zinc Co., Palmerton, for 47 years, retiring in 1969.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Peter P. and and Anna (Leaser) Andreas.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Palmerton.
Survivors: Wife; daughters, Mrs. Jane Fries of Whitehall and Rose Marie, wife of Jerry Stegman of Cincinnati, Ohio; son, George A. of Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons, Paul, Thomas, Kenneth and Robert.
