Carl F Curran, 70, or Bradys Bend, died Tuesday, September 15, 1992 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born April 17, 1922 in East Brady, he was the son of Joseph M and Minnie C (Brody) Curran.
He married Rita R Miller on September 27, 1945. She survives.
Mr Curran was employed as a machinist for Western Allegheny Railroad for 12 years, the former Rex-Hide Inc. in East Brady as a security guard for 18 years, and was self employed as a machinist and welder in the Bradys Bend and East Brady areas for many years.
A World War II veteran, serving with the US Maritime Service veteran fireman 3rd class, he was a recipient of the Pacific War Zone bar, Atlantic War Zone Bar and Mediterranean Middle East War Zone bar.
He was a member of the St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church and Americn Legion Post #488, both of Bradys Bend.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, David C Curran of East Brady RD 1, Joseph M Curran of Bradys Bend and Herbert M Curran of East Brady; two brothers, John H Curran of Kaylor and Leo J Curran of Knox RD 2; a sister, Mrs Robert (Marie) Heginbotham of Bradys Bend; and nine grandchildren.
A Christian Burial Mass aws held at 10 am at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in Bradys Bend, with the Rev. Robert E Moslener, officiating.
Interment followed in St Mary Cemetery, Bradys Bend.
Arrangements were by the Charles B Buechele Funeral Home, East Brady.
