Emma S. Anderson Died Monday Evening
Miss Emma S. Anderson, well known and esteemed resident of this city, passed away at the home of Miss Louisa Anderson and Mrs. John Dahl, 111 Spring avenue, Monday, January 22nd, after an illness of the past three months.
The deceased was born in Amnsgard Hollen, Sweden, a daughter of John and Anna Bertha (Peterson) Anderson.
She located in Akron, Ohio, in the year 1886, for a short time, later going to Williamsport. However most of her life was spent in Philadelphia.
She attended the Swedish Lebanon Lutheran church while here, and was a member of the Ladies' Aid and Missionary Societies.
Surviving her are four sisters: Louisa and Augusta, of DuBois and Josephine and Tillie, of Philadelphia. Three brothers: Edward Anderson, of Erie; Charles Anderson, of Curwensville; Fred Anderson, of Mahaffey; seven nieces and five nephews also survive.
Funeral services are to be held at the residence, 111 Spring Avenue, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. T. A. Holmer officiating. Interment will follow in Rumbarger cemetery.
