Aged Resident Passed Away At Early Hour Today
Mrs. Marie Bonar Allen, 79, of 409 Daly street, a resident of this community for 54 years, died this morning at 6:15 o'clock in the DuBois hospital after an illness of five days.
Born at Cameron, W. Va., the deceased had lived in New Kensington before coming to this city. She was a member of the Methodist church.
She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Lutie Demott, of this city, and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her husband, Gerald Allen, and a son, Harley, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. from the Moore chapel. Rev. W. Harold Sloan, of the First Methodist church, will officiate and interment will be in Rumbarger cemetery. Friends are being received at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mrs. Allen's Funeral Services Thursday
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Marie Bonar Allen will be held on Thursday instead of Friday as announced in this paper yesterday.
Services will be conducted at the Moore Funeral chapel at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon by Rev. W. Harold Sloan, of the First Methodist Church and burial will be made in the Rumbarger Cemetery.
Friends are being received at the bereaved home at 409 Daly street.
