Henrietta Barbetti, 93, a lifelong Old Forge resident, died Saturday evening in the Laurels of Mid Valley, Peckville. She was the widow of Dominic Barbetti, who died Oct. 23, 1989. Born in Old Forge, daughter of the late Attilio and Righetta Mascolini Frati, she was educated in the Old Forge School District. Henrietta was employed by Rohr Lingerie for a period of 50 years. She was a parishioner of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Mary's Church, Old Forge and belonged to the Old Forge Senior Citizens Association. A woman who was known for her friendliness and keen sense of humor around town, Henrietta will be sadly missed. She was also a wonderful cook and baker and loved her family, especially her grandchildren, beyong description. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph L. Barbetti, in 1997; five brothers, Philip, Peter, Quinto, Emilio, and Attilio Frati; and two sisters, Irene Pennini and Ida Lucarelli. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 AM from the Victor M. Ferri Funeral Home, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 in Prince of Peace Parish at St. Mary's Church, West Grace St., Old Forge. Interment will follow in Old Forge Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday morning from 9:00 - 10:30 AM.
