BAER, DONALD E.— Age 80 years of R. D. 3, Smithfield, died Saturday, December 13, 1975 at 12:40 a.m. in the Greene County Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Smithfield on July 25, 1895, a son of the late Hattie Hibbs and John Baer.
He was a member of the Smithfield United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War I, having served in France, and a retired Railroader, and a member of International Brotherhood of Fireman and Oilers.
He is survived by three sisters: Maude Baer of Smithfield, Mrs. Mabel Ference of Connellsville, Mrs. Blanche Freeman of Pittsburgh, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the John F. Brownfield Funeral Home, Smithfield, today until 2 p.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Richard Downing officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Mariah Baptist Cemetery. Full military rites will be accorded at the cemetery by the VFW Post 47.
