Kenneth J. Acornley Sr. of East Broadway, Larksville, died Saturday at hoe. Born July 15, 1940, in Berwick, he was the son of Doris Hess Acornley of Berwick and the late George William Acornley. He was a 1959 graduate of Berwick High School and was a member of St. Clement-St. Peter Episcopal Church in Wilkes-Barre. He was employed as a warehouse manager for Ertley Motor World in Wilkes-Barre. He and his wife, the former Dorothy Wylie, celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on April 28. Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Kenneth Jr., Larksville; daughter Patricia Vest, Larksville; two grandchildren; brothers, Keith Sr., Plymouth; James, Hunlock Creek; sister, Priscilla Burton, Greer, S.C.; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the Williams Funeral Home, 114 W. Main St., Plymouth, with a Requiem Eucharist at 10:30 a.m. in St. Clement-St. Peter Episcopal Church. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Park, Caverton, Kingston Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
