William E. Acker, 77, 3D Pine St., Cornwall, died at 5 o'clock this morning in the Lancaster General Hospital after a long illness. Born in Rexmont, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Acker. He was the husband of the former Elizabeth Gross, and was a retired hoistman. He was formerly employed at the Bethlehem Steel Mines. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Quentin. Survivors, in addition to the widow, include one son, William E. Acker Jr, Dallas, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Lillian Hyle, Rexmont, and two granddaughters. [Lebanon Daily News, December 23, 1967, Page 2]
