She was born in Newry, daughter of the late Gerald and Mary (Brantner) Gonsman. She married Donald E. Brumbaugh Oct. 15, 1955, in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are her beloved and devoted husband of 53 years of Salix; two daughters: Debra L. Williams (husband, Scott A.) of Monroeville and C. Diane Sterle (husband, Thomas E.) of Salix; three grandchildren: Tasha and Tyler Williams and Sarah Sterle; three brothers: Richard of Hampstead, Md., Francis of Martinsburg and James Ronald of rural Hollidaysburg; an aunt; in-laws; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Jr.; a sister, Delores Shaw; and infant granddaughter, Mary Kate Sterle.
Mrs. Brumbaugh was formerly employed at the Cove Shoe Factory, Martinsburg, and also sold Avon products for 26 years.
She was a 1952 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.
Mrs. Brumbaugh enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of several camping groups.
She was a very caring and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Allegheny St., Martinsburg, PA 16662 and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Millie F. Baker officiating. Interment will be held at Brumbaugh Cemetery, Martinsburg RR 2.
The family prefers memorial contributions be given to Diehl's Crossroads Church of the Brethren, RR 1, P.O. Box 232, Martinsburg, PA 16662.
