Joyce G. Bachman, 80 of Allentown, PA. formerly of Walnutport, PA. died Saturday, April 4, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital - Allentown Campus in Allentown, PA. Born March 2, 1935 in Whitehall Twsp., PA., she was the daughter of the late Roy and Edna (Stofflet) DeLong. She was the wife of the late Raymond H. Bachman, Sr. who passed away in October 2007.
Joyce was a sewing machine operator for the former Cross Country Clothes, Whitehall-(Egypt), PA. for 35 years until its closing in 1989. She then worked for the Vinart Dealership in Whitehall, PA. in housekeeping for several years before retiring.
Survivors: 3 Sons: Raymond H. Bachman, Jr. and wife Vickie of Slatington, PA, Thomas L. Bachman of Northampton, PA and Jeffrey T. Bachman & wife Rachel of Lehighton, PA. A Daughter; Ms. Joann M. Meyer of Slatington, PA; 2 Brothers, Mahlon DeLong and wife Jean of Laurys Station, PA and Arthur DeLong of Friendsville, TN; A Sister, Mildred wife of Philip Vitovitch of Coplay, PA; 6 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; and a Great-Great Granddaughter. She was predeceased by a son, William Bachman and 2 Brothers and a Sister.
Services: Funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall, PA. Schisler Funeral home, Northampton, PA. is in charge of arrangements.
