Joseph Cimbalista, 36, a widely known resident of Riddlesburg, passed away in the Jefferson Hospital at Philadelphia on Tuesday, June 11, 1946 at 12:30 p. m. He had been a patient in the hospital loss than 24 hours.
The deceased was a son of John and Susanna (Gosick) Cimbalista, both deceased. He was born in Bedford County on January 29, 1910.
He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Lazor of Riddlesburg, one son, Joseph Cimbalista, Jr., and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Annie Tresko, Mrs. Katie Parvanskie, Mrs. Susan Spronick, Mrs. Mary Fritz, Mrs. Agnes Metz, John Cimbalista and Paul Cimbalista, all of Pottstown, R. D.; Steve Cimbalista of Six Mile Run; Andy Cimbalista of Riddlesburg; Mike Cimbalista of Pittsburgh and Jack Cimbalista of Cleveland.
The deceased was a coal miner by occupation. He was well known in the entire Broad Top region and he had a large number of friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 15, at 10 a.m. at the Catholic Church in Dudley. The Rev. Father Bernard Conley will officiate and interment will be made in the Catholic Cemetery at Dudley. Friends may call at his late home in Riddlesburg after 5 p.m. June 13. Huff Funeral Service.
