Services for Myrtle Mae Antwine, 79, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Roy C. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
The sixth of nine children born on May 3, 1927, to Chloe and Raymond Wilson Sr., Mrs. Antwine died on Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at the local hospital. She was preceded in death by sons, James Patton and Ronald Lee Antwine; her parents; sisters, Sybil Marie Wilson, Sadie "Kate" Wilson, and Helen Askew; and brothers, Karl, Vernon and Leroy Wilson.
A lifetime resident of Ardmore, she attended Dunbar and Douglass schools and was married to Walter Antwine on Aug. 17, 1947, in Ardmore. She was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, serving with the usher's ministry until her health became impaired.
She leaves to forever cherish precious memories of her life, her husband of 58 years, Walter; two daughters and sons-in-law, Edith and David Clinton, Janette and Gilbert Wood, all of Omaha, Neb.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary and Shirley Antwine and Barry Antwine, all of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Louise Hardiman and Carlene Wilson, and a brother, Raymond Wilson, all of Ardmore; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Bearers are grandsons, granddaughters, nieces and nephews. Honorary bearers are deacons, trustees, women's mission, and ushers.
