Ashton Rites Friday
Services For Triadelphia District Farmer At Fields Mortuary
Funeral services are to be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the chapel of the Fields funeral home for Clyde S Ashton, 52, well known Triadelphia district farmer, who died Tuesday in the Wheeling hospital.
Rev J A Earl, pastor of Clinton Methodist church, assisted by Rev W H Field, pastor-emeritus of First Christian church, will be in charge. Interment will be in Weeks Cemetery at Bridgeport.
Mr Ashton succumbed to an illness of several months. He was born in Belmont county, Ohio March 12, 1887, a son of Mrs Edith Ashton and the late David D Ashton. He moved to Warwood with his parents when a child and later moved into the country. He was a member of Clinton Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife, Maude Terrill Ashton, his mother, Mrs Edith Ashton, at home; three brothers, Harry M Ashton, at Home, I N Ashton, of Beech Bottom; D LeRoy Ashton, of Pasadena, Calif; one sister, Mrs Laura A Thiers, of Wellsburg, and several nieces and nephews.
