Daniel Davis was the son of David D. and Catharine (Griffiths) Davis.
He married Ora Mae Boggs, daughter of James Ansley and Matilda (Waugh) Boggs, July 25, 1903.
They had seven children: Harry Edwin, Stanley Marshall, Daniel Otis, Raymond Luther, Delbert Eugene, Frances Marie (my grandmother) and Erma Mae.

Daniel was my great-grandfather.
The family lived on Smoky Row in Gallia County, Ohio.

Grandpa Davis farmed with horses and mules; he raised his own livestock.
He drew his water from a well and hauled his hay on a horse-drawn sled.
Grandpa died from a stroke in June, 1958. Grandma Davis followed him four months later, also from a stroke.
